I made this some time during my 3 year hiatus from tumblr, I don't have a before pic but it was beige and stained, I also don't remember what tags I used to use for my handmade stuff 😅

If you follow my story, you know that I've been into decorating the last few months since I moved back from Germany. My main project is filling up the wall around the indoors staircase with mirrors - all different sizes and shapes! It has been an ongoing project for a while now as I am thrifting all the frames, painting them (most are black - my happy colour ❤️) and then getting the glass cut specifically for each frame. This is the current state of the wall, the mirrors will continue up on the other wall, but that is still a bit emptier than this wall. Updates will follow, I post them more often on my stories, if you missed them you can check the DIY goth decor highlight for extras ❤️ . . . . . . #me #personal #alternative #alternativegirl #altgirl #gothic #alternativefashion #altlook #alternativelook #gothlook #gothaesthetic #darkaesthetic #gothgoth #goth #gothicgirl #decor #gothaesthetic #darkaesthetic #gothdecor #gothdiy #diy #mirror #mirrors #frames #altaesthetic #alternativeaesthetic #gothinterior #gothicinterior #gothicdesign #gothdesign (at Athens, Greece) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoQOAq2tW1U/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

In every apartment I have lived in so far I always liked to make it more personal by adding self-made wall tattoos.
This is a really simple tutorial of how to make a cute bat wall tattoo without actually painting the walls.
1) All you need is self-adhesive foil in the colour you like (i got mine really cheap from amazon), a pencil and scissors 2) draw a bat in the size you like on the back of the foil 3) cut it out 4) take the back layer off the foil and 5) place the bat wherever you like Just repeat this until you have enough bats to make a nice wall tattoo. It's really simple and the bats can always be re-arranged
Hey. I'm trying to plan some DIY projects I can do for my room which I'm redoing (it's literally all white and I have this wallpaper that's got black, grey and dark purple stripes.) Trying to find a good cheap way to make a Historical (German/Victorian London) type clock and I'm not having much luck. ;_; Can I get some advice?
I’m happy to help if I can! Can you give me more of an idea of what you have in mind? A tabletop clock, a wall clock? What size? Do you have any images similar to what you’re thinking of?
I can start with the general advice that I find makes a great starting point for almost any project: if you have any thrift stores or secondhand shops nearby, scour those for clocks, old wooden boxes, anything that seems like it might make a decent clock part. Estate sales are another good place to look. You might get lucky and find just what you’re looking for, no DIY needed. More likely, you’ll find bits and pieces that you can put together in a way that looks good.
Check out craft stores and home improvement stores for wooden bits and bobs that can turn something plain into something ornate. Use nails and screws to hold things together rather than glue when you can.
Any kind of ornate piece is going to be harder to make from scratch than something simple, which is why I recommend looking for things that are already in a shape you can use. Sand and refinish things to make different pieces match, or paint over them.
I hope this is helpful, and I wish you luck! Any advice from my followers?
NOT A REPLICA! I finally finished altering my long moitie skirt into a jsk, as usual I forgot to take a before pic so I've used one from google, this was the scariest alteration I've ever done and there were so many parts I had to redo over and over because I wasn't happy, but now I love it! #diylolita #moimememoitie #gothiclolita #chubbygirlsthatwantmoitiedreamdresses #alterations #gothdiy
