Game of Thrones 3x01
so i know he was the worst but look me in the face and tell me joffrey's little douche baby box was not one of the most iconic things on game of thrones.
Ros really knew what she was talking about when she said “Watch out for her with him” about Sansa and Baelish

This episode title: Valar Dohaeris
Writer: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss
Boy, there’s a lot to unpack in their scenes this episode. This is the episode where Jon appeals to Mance Rayder to join his army of wildlings and where Sansa asked Littlefinger to take her away from King’s Landing.
1. Giants
The first time Jon Snow ever seen a giant.
While Sansa was approach by Petyr of House Baelish whose sigil is Titan of Braavos (even though now he already changed it to Mockingbird).
2. Mention of Ned/Catelyn Stark
3. Mention of brother/sister
4. Mention of treason
5. An advice for Jon
Jon is trying to convince Mance to let him join them. When Mance asked him why he wanted to join them, Jon just answered he wants to be free. It is what he thinks Mance wants to hear, because it is what Ygritte talked about over and over again.
Well that failed to convince Mance. Now listen to Sansa, Jon!
So he did. He told him about how he saw the White Walkers took Craster’s boys and that the Lord Commander knew about it and did nothing. So that’s his story of why he wants to leave the Night’s Watch.
6. A plea
I can’t help to connect Sansa’s words to what happened with Jon at the Dragonpit meeting in season 7 episode 7..
She said: “That’s not how the game works. You’re not supposed to just blurt out the right answer. You have to invent a story about where the ship is going and why”.
I think that’s exactly what Jon was doing when he answered Cersei’s request for the King in the North to stay neutral in the war between her and Daenerys. The “right answer” was for him to say yes that the North will stay neutral. But that’s not how the game works and Jon has to invent a story to play the game. He invented a story of a Northern fool and a lie concealed by the truth.
He reflected on his experience with Mance. Giving “the right answer” didn’t earn Mance’s trust, and it wouldn’t earn Cersei’s either.
Daenerys asked “Just, the King in the North? Not me?”. Cersei answered that she wouldn’t trust Dany to do that, and if Dany agrees, she would trust her even less.
