If they really need to commit to this "alien race is inherently evil, nothing good about them, they're just monsters" bit (which is antithetical to Star Trek) on Gorns in SNW, they should at least do it for a couse. Make it political.
For example: "Gorns are Evil. They treat people as incubators and force them to produce children. That's evil. Shoot on sight." And lean into it.
Just an idea.
at my post
You know what, maybe sucking at something really *is* the first step towards being sorta good at something
Is anyone else getting the sneaking suspicion they’re gonna try to unite the Gorn and Federation with Batel’s Gorn-baby like Clone Ripley in Alien: Resurrection

SNW gorns: great predators, almost invisible, cruel to no end, and also super fast!
TOS gorn:
Also the updated Gorns look awesome. And okay. I do think they're all super cute. LMAO. Like, the small babies (Also Sam calling them babies too, I love you Sam) and the big gorn. omg. Adorable.
A lot of people are saying that they don't like the way the gorns are bring developed in SNW, but for me this kind of thing always happened, specially in 23rd century Trek with TOS
The thing I am a bit icky about is the way they're trying to approach genetical engineering.
I get that this is an amazing topic. I love it. One of the best debates possible in modern society.
BUT they're trying so hard to push a vision that is at the same time neutral (so u can feel the way u want) and pro-engeneering that it's almost funny in a way
Let's be sincere, usually trek functions as an analogy to our reality, but eugenics in 2022 and specifically genetics eugenics is not the way they're portraying.
Some of the biggest problems to deal is actually if it's ethical (should we engineer babies? Is it right to basically stop people with some deficiencies from existing because they're not "genetically the best"?) and the socialeconomical implications (only rich people getting access to cancer immunity, for example).
BUT NONE OF THESE WERE DEBATED.
Seriously TOS grasped 60s eugenics so well, but the need of futurism is stopping SNW to actually catch 2020s problems.
