Hey guys! How's it going? . So Christmas has all but passed and I'm celebrating the last day of Christmas with a really great whisky. This is the Gordon & Macphail 11yo Glengrothes, this was a really great surprise for me, I didn't expect to like this one so much!. . Here is my review:. . Nose: Sweet forrest fruits, cinnamon butter, toffee covered dark chocolate, dried fruits and spice. Fruit cake. . Palate: Again sweet sherried fruit, like raspberries and blackberries. Charred oak, orange chocolate and cinnamon and vanilla. . Finish: Medium to long. Citrus dark chocolate, orange zest, fruit cake and butterscotch. . As some of you already know, I'm a huge sherry cask fan 🙂 and let me tell you, this one did impress!. . What's your take on Gordon&Macphail? Have you tried any of their bottlings?. . Tasting 1998 @gordonandmacphail Ardmore - absolutely gorgeous nose of dried fruit, leather, spice, iodine and light smoke. Elegant on the palate; shows a kiss of sweetness, smoke and dried fruit.
