"I can make you anything," he whispered airily in her ear. "I will make you strong. Let me help." She could hear him smiling. "You won't regret it."

"Yes," she whispered back.

The sun exploded inside her, and the monster took control. Thick platelets harder than steel burst from her back in a barrage, ripping through her clothes like butter. Her skin hardened and her claws sharpened and she turned to the sky and roared.

By the time her lungs had emptied and her head lowered again, her eyes were blank.

Conan smirked. "Good girl," he quipped. He patted her muzzle, receiving a deep, throaty grumble of appreciation in return.
