A new golden find from Denmark. The figure sucking his thumb is almost certainly Sigurd, who is depicted the same way on the Sigurd stone in Eskilstuna, Sweden. While cooking the dragon’s heart he tastes it from his thumb and thereby receives the ability to understand the speech of birds.
