GOJEK For Lunch

If emergency means having no food, or at least plan on what to eat for lunch, then yes, me and some of my colleagues were on emergency. It was raining (almost the whole day), and the fact today is Monday kind of explains why we we ended up in a state of being stuck in proposals, starving, but could not go anywhere due to the rain and our lazy ass.

Trying to save myself from being my colleagues lunch menu, I proposed to call McDonald's delivery hotline and my colleagues agreed. But Monday was playing so hard to get today, so due to heavy rain, some flooded area, and seemed like infinite numbers of lunch orders, no delivery service during that hour for McDonald's. Still trying to save myself, I killed more braincells, and finally clicked that useful black and green coloured app icon. GOJEK TO THE RESCUE! :))

Step 1: Pick a service

the first page popped up after I tapped on GOJEK's app icon was this Pick A Service window. Instant courier for picking up your things or package or documents that you left behind (by left behind, does not mean that you can order GOJEK to get you your ex back!).Tap transport, if you need GOJEK as your choice of transportation to get to your destination (again, I said destination, not destiny, not to the man of your dream!). And tap Shopping, if you want to use GOJEK to buy you things you needed (of course with your own money, so girls, daddy is still needed ya!). Because me and my colleagues needed GOJEK to buy us some McDonald's stuff, I tapped the third option: Shopping.

Step 2: Buy From - Deliver To Location

the next thing after that, I can saw the availability of GOJEK's drivers near my location in a mini map before I entered the details regarding where should the GOJEK driver buy our orders from and where he should deliver it to. Ohya, by the way, you can also customised the pick up time for your order! how cool is that! Now you can send flowers to your bestfriend's or lovers', or whatever the status is, office to say sorry just right after the argument. Us, who lives in this modern civilisation are no longer saved by the bell my friend, but saved by GOJEK1:p)

Step 3: Coming Your Way!

after making sure I typed in the right details for everything, the app gave me the name and contact number of the driver (along with the estimated time he will need to get your order done and his picture too!).

Step 4: Driver Review

The most impressive thing about this app for me is this driver review. Sorry to say, but let us just be frank, there are not many organisations or shops who take into consideration of customers' comments seriously. When ordering McDonalds, we were so hungry that at one moment we even could not hold ourselves to call GOJEK's headquarter to track our driver about his whereabouts and how long he will reach our office. The operator patiently asked us to wait until she got the confirmation and willing to send me another driver if my current driver is too slow. I thought the operator won't call me again and just let me and my colleagues starving just like that. But no, she did call us again and informed us that my driver had just arrived at the lobby and apologised, because it turned out the driver's phone had some connectivity issue that caused him unreachable. Even when I met the driver to pick up my order, he was polite, and  also apologised before leaving. This really assured me that I, or at least, my needs, were being carefully looked after.
