I'd like to get back to blogging about my relationship with my patron deity, but I have a metric ton of trauma surrounding doing so.
Anyone got any ideas/suggestions/encouragement?

What do you think of the concept that rather than needing gods or gods needing us, that it is a mutual want or choice to carve or give space in our lives to them and vice versa?
I think it makes a good load of sense.
Personally, I like using the analogy of how humans and cats form bonds: The two species donāt necessarily need one another to survive, but some individuals are greatly fulfilled by those relationships, while others want nothing to do with the other species.
I believe itās the same with humans and gods. Itās not always the case they need or want to form bonds with one another, but they certainly can if they desire.
Itās nice because this makes god/human relationships a preference rather than a necessity, and thus validates both religiousĀ and a-religious paths (like atheism).
However some people/cultures/paths believe their gods require worship to sustain themselves, and Iām not here to say thatās wrong. This is all just my personal take on the matter, given my path and experiences.

Kyne, Mother of Men, Goddess of the Storm, Blessed Warrior-Wife, whose veil is the storm, Kiss at the End, hail to you. May your winds be always at our backs, your hands aways guiding ours, and your wrath a safe haven.
Apollo often appears to me in an orange T-shirt and cargo shorts. His face is veiled but his golden hair is curly and cropped short. He smirks a lot and on his tanned skin sit only a few dark freckles. He likes to act as a guiding older brother. I feel like a child next to him. He is younger but I can sense that in his eyes he is ancient. He maintains his sense of humor and the tight energy in my chest lets me know that he is near.

Paranormal Deity Entcounter
So Iām in the shower, chatting with Odin and Iām talking to Him about magic and what kinds interest me. He urges me to buy the rune set Iāve been thinking about. Then Hermes comes up and reminds me to listen to the shufflemancy song He picked a couple of days ago. Then??? All of a sudden Eros and Aphrodite show up in a super Extra way and She tells me its time for Her to help me find love.
Iām honored by the experience (and honestly just Her presence) and also still trying to get my head around it.
I journaled about the experience for to record it and also bought the dang rune set.
Burn-out in witchcraft, as with any other task or ājobā, is a real issue that isnāt spoken about enough. Spiritwork is no different.
Spiritwork, no matter what anybody will tell you, is hard.
The thing is, it doesnāt always feel that way, and it doesnāt always look that way when youāve got an outsiderās view on somebodyās elseās practice. I know I for one have - since the pandemic - been guilty of being quite keyboard-happy with my experiences; largely because with my husband working an offshore job, Iāve spent a lot of my time going āif I donāt talk to people online or the gods, Iām going to start learning what language the ferrets speakā. But even if someone is posting about their spiritwork (be it godphoning, shadow work, past life study or something else entirely) all the time, what you very rarely see is what the magician behind the curtain looks like after theyāre done. Thatās what Iād like to talk about today.
