There is an account in godville where the hero's goal is just to travel and map the people he meets across the servers. The account is overseen by two people and they basically pass him off to various people and they log their time with him in the chronicles. Its really heartwarming to see. But also a little heartbreaking (as a concept) when people forget about him.

Imagine the devastation of not only your god constantly changing, but to be forgotten by them for long periods. The loneliness would be so all consuming. There's a sense of rootlessness that would settle. I'm not sure how to describe it... like... a home without a hearth -- it stands and weathers, but it is not a home. It is not truly warm or alive. Its just there, waiting.
