Y/N sat near one of Olympus' gardens, reading a book quietly in the warm sunlight. For the first time in a long time, all three of your lovers had assignments at the same time, giving you some quiet time to finish the book you'd been planning for weeks. As you neared completion, the familiar sound of Hermes' footsteps approached from behind. Before you could turn around, you were greeted with a kiss on the head and a smiling Hermes looking back at you. "How's your book, my love?" He smiled, sitting down next to you.
"It's quite good, though I doubt I'll be able to finish it today," you replied with a soft laugh. As you said that, Apollo and Dionysus, your other two lovers, approached and began their usual flirting, breaking the tranquility you'd just enjoyed.
"You look beautiful, love," Apollo grinned, kissing you gently on the cheek. When he pulled away, Dionysus quickly took his place and kissed your face affectionately, leaving a faint trail of wine on your lips. "I hope you're not too lonely without us, my precious grape," he teased, his eyes gleaming mischievously.
You couldn't help but smile amusedly at them. Your three most beloved gods, each with their own unique personalities, always managed to brighten your day. However, the peace you sought seemed to be about to end.
Y/N smiled faintly, trying to insert a bookmark into the page she was reading. "I'm fine, really. I just want to finish this chapter."
Apollo deftly pulled the book from your hands, closing it with his finger where Y/N had marked. "Oh, no, no, my dear. Wouldn't it be better if your eyes were on us, instead of these boring pages?" He grinned, winking, as if reading a book were a serious, unforgivable crime.
Hermes, who had already wrapped his arm around Y/N's shoulders, whined coquettishly. "Besides, what can that book give you that we can't? Adventure? I can take you to the ends of the earth in the blink of an eye! Knowledge? I know everything, except your sometimes unpredictable heart! Romance? You have three of the most handsome and charming gods on Olympus, and even Eros agrees!" He finished proudly.
Dionysus sighed dramatically, hugging Y/N tightly from behind, engulfing her in his warm embrace. "And I can give you infinite ecstasy and joy, beyond anything you can read between those covers. Just feel it, Y/N. Don't you agree?"
Y/N chuckled, trying to break free from their warm but suffocating embrace. "You're guys too much! I just want to read!"
Apollo flipped to the last page Y/N had been reading, pretending to read with an overly dramatic tone. "'...and then the hero realizes that his love is the key to defeating the monster...' Tch, what a cliché. Our story is much more interesting, isn't it? At least we won't leave you alone with the monster." He grinned, raising his eyebrows.
Hermes, with lightning speed, stole the book from Apollo's hands, flipping it open, and staring intently at the cover. "Hmm, 'The Ballad of the Lonely Shepherd.' My goodness, Y/N, are you reading such a depressing tale? I'll tell you tales of my heroic adventures that even the Muses would envy, tales where the shepherd is never lonely because he has the faithful gods."
Dionysus snorted, gently turning Y/N on his lap so she was facing him fully. "Forget the lonely shepherd. I'll take you to a party where the music, dancing, and laughter never stop! We can have our own party, right now, right here, just the four of us!" He raised his hand, and in an instant, vines began to sprout from the ground, bearing ripe fruit and fragrant wildflowers. The scent of sweet grapes began to waft through the air.
Y/N could only shake her head, a mixture of frustration and amusement. They really weren't going to let her read. The book now lay in the grass, its fate seemingly as uncertain as Y/N's future, which would be constantly harassed by these gods.
"Alright, alright!" she gave in, raising her hands, yielding to their expectant gazes. "You win. I won't read."
Victorious smiles instantly spread across the three gods' faces, like the sun suddenly shining brighter.
Apollo quickly placed the book beside him, then pulled Y/N into his embrace again, kissing the top of her head with sweet possessiveness. "That's it, my love," he murmured. "Nothing is more important than your time with us."
Hermes leaned on Y/N's other side, resting his head on her shoulder. "What do you want to do now? Want me to tell you the latest gossip from the mortal world? About the nymph trying to steal Pegasus's feather? Or maybe we could play cards, I'm so good at deception!"
Dionysus didn't let go of his embrace, but instead tightened his grip, rocking Y/N gently. "No, no, Y/N needs to rest. She's tired from all that 'reading.' We'll lie here, enjoy the wine I just made, and I'll sing her lullabies. I guarantee they'll be more soothing than shepherd's tales."
"Why do you need books anyway, dear?" Apollo asked, his eyes gleaming with sweet possessiveness. "When you have us, who will always be your best stories. An epic that will never end."
Y/N sighed, her head resting comfortably on Dionysus' shoulder. She knew her reading was over. With these three gods, tranquility was a myth. But their warmth and love, however ridiculous and possessive, were a reality she would never trade for anything.
Suddenly, another shadow obscures the sunlight. You look up to find Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, standing there with an unreadable expression. Beside her stands Eros, the god of love, who can't seem to stop himself from observing the scene before him.
"Oh, look, Apollo," Artemis's voice was cold, but with a hint of amusement. "It seems my brother has fallen prey to the spell of a mortal again."
Apollo snorted, "At least I know how to appreciate beauty, Artemis. Unlike you, who only likes to shoot arrows at defenseless animals."
"And you look like a rabbit who just discovered a flower garden," Artemis retorted sharply. "But at least rabbits have some pride. You seem to prefer showing off yourself."
Hermes smirked, enjoying the drama. "Ah, Apollo's twins and Aphrodite's son. There's always a good show on Olympus."
Dionysus, still leaning against you, simply shrugged. "Let them be. As long as I get the attention of my precious wine, the rest doesn't matter." He rubbed his cheek against yours, making you giggle.
Eros, who had been silently observing, finally spoke, his voice soft yet piercing. "What a sweet sight. Three great gods, all vying for the attention of a mortal. It's interesting how love can be so powerful, isn't it? That even the gods are willing to compete for it." He glanced at Apollo, then Hermes, and finally Dionysus, with a knowing smile. "But only one will truly win this game, right?"
Eros's words immediately made the atmosphere a little tense. Apollo and Hermes exchanged challenging glances. Dionysus, though seemingly relaxed, tightened his embrace on you, as if to say, "She's mine."
You felt a little overwhelmed by all the sudden attention. You loved your three lovers, but the rivalry between them, coupled with the interference of the other gods, always made things a little… wild.
"Hey," you said, trying to mediate, "I just want to enjoy my free time. Is that asking too much?"
Hermes tilted his head. "No, dear. But when you're so beautiful, how could we leave you alone for too long? Besides, there are others out there who might try to steal you." He glanced at Artemis and Eros with a mocking smile.
Apollo added, "And believe me, no one can bring you happiness like we do." He kissed your lips quickly, leaving a familiar sweetness.
Dionysus squeezed your hand. "Yes, my precious wine. With us, you will always feel warmth, happiness, and of course, a little unexpected joy."
You looked at your three lovers, then at Artemis and Eros, who were still watching with appraising eyes. It felt like you were the center of attention of all Olympus today. With a sweet, resigned smile, you closed your book. It seemed your quiet reading time was over. Maybe, just maybe, having a godly lover never gets boring.
"Very well," you said, rising. "Who wants to accompany me in searching for something better than this book?"
Smiles spread across the faces of your three godly lovers. They know that this time, only one can win your attention. And the competition begins again.
dark jealousy! a gift from the muses

Sitting in her private garden with a scroll in hand, she enjoyed a rare moment of peace, remembering yesterday. Hermes, Apollo, and Dionysus were going about their business, leaving Y/N to enjoy the tranquility once again. Y/N herself, as a new minor goddess she had already learned much about, the Goddess of peaceful nature and small animals, was preoccupied with sulking flowers and squirrels missing their nuts. Today, however, that peace was shattered by the sound of rhythmic footsteps. A shadow loomed over Y/N, and she looked up to see a group of handsome men approaching. They were the male Muses – gods of inspiration and art, renowned for their beauty and talent. These Muses were also the lovers of the departing major gods.
Calliope: the muse of epic poetry, smiled warmly as she handed her a gleaming golden quill. "For you, Y/N," her voice was a soothing melody. "May this quill help you write even more beautiful stories, just like you."
Next, Thalia: the muse of comedy, cheerfully presented a small olive wood mask, carved with a cheerful, laughing expression. "This is so you'll always smile, dear! We don't want to see you down for even a moment!"
Polyhymnia: Tthe muse of hymns, presented a bouquet of unfading flowers. "May this fragrance remind you of eternal beauty, like the love we bear you."
Euterpe: the muse of music, brought a delicate little lyre. "Listen, Y/N. This is a melody from our hearts, especially for you."
And Terpsichore: the muse of dance, presented a pair of rainbow-colored silk ribbons. "May your every step be filled with grace and joy."
Y/N accepted the gifts sincerely, smiling. "Thank you so much, Muses. This is so beautiful and so thoughtful of you."
Suddenly, the energy around the garden shifted. The sunlight seemed to dim, as if a cloud had suddenly appeared. From a distance, the sound of hurried footsteps could be heard, followed by a commanding presence. Hermes, Apollo, and Dionysus had returned.
Their expressions, previously calm, had changed drastically to a mixture of disappointment, displeasure, and seething jealousy.
Hermes, usually amiable, frowned. His eyes swept over the gifts you held, then settled on the male Muses with a rare, piercing gaze. "Simple gifts? How interesting," he commented, his tone flat and cold. He stepped closer, standing between you and the Muses, clearly blocking their view. "It seems someone has forgotten who was supposed to give you everything, hasn't it? A quill? A silk ribbon? How pitiful compared to the immortality we offer."
Apollo, with his trademark smile, now bitter, added, "Hermes is right. We give you true inspiration, my dear Apollo. Music that stirs the soul, dance that intoxicates. What can these meager possessions compare to? You are trying to offer us something we already possess. What a waste of time." He looked at the male Muses with disdain.
Dionysus, usually laid-back, now looked distinctly displeased. He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer, and exhaled the strong scent of wine. "Hey, my precious wine," his voice was low and possessive. "You don't need any of this. You belong to us. You know that, right? They only give you inanimate objects. We give you life, laughter, warmth, and of course, love that will never fade." His eyes glinted slightly, and you felt a cool touch on the back of your neck, reminding you of his hidden yandere side. "And we don't like sharing what we already have."
The male Muses, though slightly intimidated by the intensity of the major gods, tried to maintain their composure. Calliope tried to intervene, "We just wanted to show our appreciation, gods. No ill intent whatsoever."
"Appreciation?" Apollo snorted again. "It seems more like an attempt to take what isn't yours. Y/N already has us."
Hermes smirked, but this time there was a hint of menace. "Perhaps you should return to your duties and leave us with Y/N. We know how to make her happy. We know what she needs." He glanced at you, as if demanding recognition.
Just then, amidst the tension, a soft laugh rang out. Eros, the god of love, appeared with a wide grin on his face. "My, my, what's going on? There's such fierce competition for Y/N's attention today." He looked at the gifts, then at the jealous gods, and finally at you. "What an adorable sight. The mighty gods, so attached to one person."
He walked over, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Don't worry, Y/N. I understand. Love so strong can sometimes be jealous. Especially when you know that only one can truly have your heart." He winked at you. "And I'm sure your heart already knows who that is, right?"
Dionysus hissed softly. "Don't talk nonsense, Eros. You have no right here."
Apollo glared at Eros. "Go away, little god. You're only messing things up."
Hermes simply smiled, enjoying the chaos he'd created. "Now, now. Let's settle this fairly. Who can make Y/N the happiest today?"
You looked at them all, feeling a little overwhelmed but also flattered. The gifts from the Muses were simple, but the intentions behind them were sincere. However, the attention you received from Hermes, Apollo, and Dionysus felt powerful and intense.
Apollo smiled at you, his aura of power radiating. "Come to me, Y/N. I will show you true beauty. We will create a work of art that will last forever."
Hermes stepped forward, gently touching your cheek, his eyes glinting slightly. "Or you can come with me, love. I can take you places you've never imagined. And you know, I'll never leave you alone. I'll protect you." His tone held a hint of hidden obsession.
Dionysus pulled you closer, his scent growing stronger. "Why choose anyone else? I'm here, always ready to give you pleasure and a warm embrace. With me, you'll always be intoxicated. And you know, I can make you forget everything." His sweet smile hid behind a deep, possessive gaze.
Eros just smiled mysteriously. "Love is a game, Y/N. And everyone here wants to win you. But remember, the strongest love is the one that never fades, even if it means a little… force."
You shook your head, feeling a little dizzy. "Huft Okay, okay," you said, trying to calm them down. "Maybe we can find another way to celebrate today? Together?"
"I love you all," you murmured, You saw a glimmer of hope in their eyes. It didn't look like this day would end peacefully, but at least you knew you were loved. Deeply loved. Too much loved, perhaps. And you weren't sure if you could stop yourself from enjoying this intense attention.
