you know, one of my first thoughts about sho as a muse was that i thought heād enjoy thunder storms -- he might get some kind of a rush out of it, you know? i mean, he basically is a storm; he can absolutely make one worse, thatās for sure. matched with a thunder/lightning quirk, he and someone else could produce a scary, huge, devastating storm.Ā
in his teen years, i think he had a little bit of a reckless streak ( no shit, right ), he was super fascinated by storms, and liked watching them -- probably dangerously up close. heād go flying during them, and it drove his grandma absolutely crazy. the fear he has of them now is unrelated, somehow.Ā
youād think it would be a lesson learned kind of situation, and maybe it was? but it really comes down to the battle where the elementals lost their fourth; honokesu, who was struck down by a villain with just that: thunder storm quirk.Ā
i think it was doubly devastating, going up against someone with a quirk so similar to theirs; for sho, whoās bio father could produce fog, and his grandmother who has sun-like abilities, i think the weather element hit... especially close to home. i mean, the quirk really is only a few dashes away from his own. so, thereās something pretty horrible about all of that, really.
now, he associates storms with that -- flinches at the sound of thunder, and freezes full-stop at a flash of lightning. one of his greatest joys has become something he fears down to his core -- and he canāt really forget about it, given the lightning-shape scar that the battle left on his face.Ā
