i get wanting to stay IC, absolutely, and i had no prob squall/rinoa in some universes, but in others i was like??? paradisa!squall doesn’t remember shit, he’s starting from day one…

plus... well, like you said, it was a different 'verse!  sticking rigidly to canon would be... idk, boring?  you have the chance to do anything you want (within reason, esp for your character)!  get out there and try new stuff!

shit, Seifer basically made Squall and Selphie his new Posse because, well, Fujin and Raijin weren't there, and he found himself actually getting close with those two, which is something that would probably not have happened on their own world.  it was a fresh start.  a clean slate.  it helped that Squall didn't remember anything, and Selphie was willing to put aside the past because the three of them were basically all they had!  everyone else kept disappearing. :(  and that was traumatic enough to push the three of them together.

MAN WE WERE ALL SO GREAT I don't care if we didn't get included in the larger plots and such, we had a blast

you and Nicole were two of the best RPers I ever had the privilege of playing with ;_;
