Another Personal Project done, and I might be learning something about all this.
I started up the file for this picture about a year ago, without any idea, concept, or even intentions to complete it. I was hit with a sudden urge to do Undertale stuff, watch Undertale LPs, listen to the soundtrack, hell I even bought the game on Switch to do that one extra boss fight they included in the game. It was an interesting time, during which I felt like doing some Undertale stuff. As it is, I didn't even scribble a line and then forgot about it.
Until this project started.
One of the goals I set to myself was to keep it simple. I usually get bogged down in the background so that was the first thing to go. I decided to put all the focus on the character, and let me tell ya, once you remove one step of a drawing things turn out a whole lot faster. This may have taught me that a background is only good when the subject matter requires to have it. If you can do without one then just do without one. It's not the end of the world, and to the viewer it makes no difference if the character is standing in an empty void, or in a bed of flowers.
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate each and every single one I receive.
