Viking Bag Hedeby Haithabu

This Viking shoulder bag was hand sewn of goat hide with a burned and carved oak wood top The wooden tops are 1/4" hand cut solid oak. 40" Strap is hand twisted deer hide cordage and is very strong and acts as the strap and keeps the top closed when hung. Bag has been constructed so that both sides are decorated the same. Goat hide is traditional and very strong but subtle. It has been aged? distressed with dyes to have a look of age. Bag is about 7 1/2" deep not including the wooden top pieces and is about 8" wide at the bottom. Great as a purse to carry or for the Viking or to take to the next Renaissance Faire.
