We apologize for being off the air so suddenly and for our radio silence following.
It’s been a rough time for us over at GMZW these past few months and it’s, unfortunately, affected you! For that, we are sincerely, wholeheartedly sorry. In the spirit of completely open communication with our audience, we just wanted to let you know what was going on in our studio.
The biggest and most difficult setback has been the departure of our dear Nai, the talented voice behind our love guru Asar Amore. She has landed a new job that requires complete exclusivity which means, unfortunately, she had to step back from GMZW. Nai has been an absolute delight to work with and we are a little jealous of her new bosses, whoever they are!
When she informed us of this impending departure several months back, we scrambled to try and wrap up the season so we could record all of her lines and conclude our current story arc. As it stands, we did not manage to do so due to scheduling conflicts on recording sessions, which is one of the few downsides of working with an international cast.
Additionally, we’ve lost another of our cornerstones: Michael, who has served as one of our main writers since we started this podcast in 2014. He has had to step away due to personal reasons and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.
So with two crew members down, we found ourselves at a bit of a loss, and struggled with getting back in control of the situation. The rest of the crew has done a fabulous job of stepping up and working together to get us back on track.
Along those lines: it seems we’re in need of a new love guru! Until 11:59 EST on November 1st, we’re re-opening auditions to cast Asar Amore. We encourage you to listen to older episodes to try and get a feel for how she sounds! We’re looking for someone who can really emulate the Asar Amore vocal experience.

We want to hear the natural tone of your voice as clearly as possible. We have included the full scripts so you can see what you will be working with should you get the position!
That’s all about the audition. As for the current state of the podcast, S02E08 is the finale for Season 2. We will return mid-2018 with Season 3!
In the meantime, we are hard at work retooling things internally, like trying to set up our own website and possibly a Patreon. We would also like to make future episodes longer so it feels more podcast-length.
To that end, we’re looking for sound editors! Please e-mail us if you're interested. We’re open to making this a paid position.
Finally, we are very, very grateful for your support so far. We apologies for the delays, and our general start-stop style. This whole thing has been a big learning experience with its own unique challenges, but it's been a fun ride so far, and we hope you're willing to continue it with us when we return.

Summary:
“‘Formal union regarding Jorik Siril’,” He translates, tracing under the words. She nods as if she doesn’t understand but is waiting for clarification. “‘Concerned human mate Suraya El-Hashim’.”
“Woah, woah, woah- hold the phone. Are you saying that I accidentally space-married us?!” Her voice remains fairly level throughout the whole thing, but she gets loud enough on ‘space-married’ that he pats her on the shoulder to comfort her. “Jorik, if this is some shitty turian joke, I swear-”
A turian, a human, and an asari walk into a radio station. The turian tries to do his work, the human tries to scam Palaven, and the asari tries to give her coworkers relationship advice. The scam falls through and the human and turian are now recognized as lawfully wedded under the turian hierarchy, and the asari still tries to meddle.
All because Suraya El-Hashim wanted to get her turian coworker better medical benefits.
Part 2 of a special two-parter! Continuing at the charity ball, Jorik deals with being on an accidental date, Gem gets a bit sneaky, Suraya catches up on her snack and wine quota.
