A fossilized shark tooth of a Glyphis cf. gangeticus or Ganges shark from the Cisubuh Formation near Cirebon, Java, Indonesia. Glyphis or river sharks are one of the very few extant genera that can inhabit freshwater environments. These sharks are more known for their unusual spear-like lower tooth positions than the upper positions like this one. Unfortunately, extant members of this species are critically endangered.
