"Yes, my dear." He says this so kindly that you don't expect him to softly shut the book, remove his reading glasses with such gentleness as to not disturb you anymore, turn the lamp off, lay in bed and turn the complete opposite way of you. "Goodnight."

Now, back to back, you raise a brow and turn your head to stare at the back of his head. He likes to sleep on his back beside you, not away from you...
