With a loss to Washington in the first round of the playoffs, the Wings are headed back to Dallas. 

Although, this obviously was not the turnout Dallas hoped for, I think everyone involved has to be very proud of the promise of this young team. This was a basically new team, especially different from the one that started its inaugural season in Dallas. With only 5 returning players, and 7 new/rookie players (some just new), I think Dallas exceeded very many people’s expectations. I can say no one thought that they would make the playoffs. All of the new kids had to step up fast and although, they had their trials and tribulations, dealing with injuries, suspensions, and inconsistencies, I think Dallas has found its rhythm of play, and have built a foundation to continuously grow on for seasons to come! The future is bright for the Dallas Wings and I, for one, cannot wait to witness it!

Congrats on the season, Wings. You accomplished your goals of making the playoffs, now dream bigger!
