It is absolutely strange, without a doubt.

These new cycles have recently been producing outcomes he never would have dreamed of before. New encounters with odd strangers in places that he never found before. This current one has lent him another incarnation of himself; it’s almost the same him but yet its not. For one thing, the other him is remarkably taller.

It IRRITATES him. Extremely so. A frown is present on his shaded expression, hidden but still there, as he speaks, not bothering to hide his annoyance.

He is safe in my dwelling place.

No one else has his best interests in mind-- especially not when considering others’.

Something’s wrong.

You can feel the unease creep through your frail body like shadows of the setting sun. It sends a chill down your spine as you stare into the bowl of soup on the table in front of you. Wary, cyan eyes slowly trail to the sleeping shape of Milion curled up on the bed, staring at him. You need to see what’s going on, but you know everyone around you right now will protest.

You feel trapped.

Carefully, you slither from your seat, eyes never leaving your boyfriend as you watch him, wide-eyed.

A note is produced out of thin air, carefully set under the glass of apple juice before you blip away immediately, without a sound. When Milion finds it, it will read as such:

“Dear Milion, 

                  I went home to feed the beast in the basement. I will be back soon. Try not to worry too much as it will not take more than thirty minutes for me to get everything together. See you in a bit.

                                                                                        Love, the Architect.”

Who would have thought you’d find what you did upon your return to your desolate, ruined file? The Glitch is gone. His presence is nowhere to be felt, the cell door swung wide... Horror slips through you, dread tying your stomach in tight, painful knots, before anger begins drumming its way through your body. It thrums through your veins like fire, and before you realize it, you’re putting your hand through obsidian as hard as you can. The black stone cracks and breaks easily under your influence, but it brings you no peace of mind, no absolution.

“GLITCH--” You scream at the top of your lungs, allowing the shrilly screeched name to echo through the mausoleum-like atmosphere of your home. You’ve never been so angry in your life-- you’ve never felt this kind of fire in yourself. 

You are alive, and you are angry.

You are going to find him, and you are going to put him where he belongs-- beneathe your feet.

Except that he ISN’T.

He’s in the basement.
