Okay, so this is my Secret Santa gift for @glintea . Ā I got Sam last year, and when I got him again, I wasnāt sure what I was going to do. Ā Ā All I knew for sure was that I was really sick of writing after NaNoWriMo, and I really wanted to draw stuff. Ā Ā So I figured: why not draw Samās OCās? Ā Iām not really confident in my art skills, and I wasnāt sure how to choose one from the multitude of Samās OC stable, but I decided to use that as a challenge and draw seven of them. Ā Ā Quantity over quality, I calls it.
First up is Glint, a half-elf from Dungeons and Dragons. Ā I really donāt know anything about D&D, which is kind of why I wanted to tackle this project. Ā Ā I canāt just binge watch a TV show to research this guy. Ā I pretty much had to work with what Samās written and drawn about him, and try fill in the gaps myself. Ā Glint was the easiest to pin down though, because Samās done more art of this guy in color. Ā
Iām finding I really blank on poses to use. Ā Glint sort of strikes me as a devil-may-care type, and that sort of reminded me of Osomatsu, so I went with this pose of him grinning with his hands in his pockets. Ā It seemed to work, although I soon realized that this meant I couldnāt draw his karambits, since his hands were conveniently out of the shot. Ā Ā Maybe next time. Ā At any rate, the pose seems to suit the guy, and Glint doesnāt seem like the type to sweat this stuff, so I guess itās cool.
