2 years ago today my favorite show in the world ended. After 6 seasons of joy, loss, love, life, song, dance, breakups, weddings, and much more, the show took its final bow and the curtain closed on all of these characters. Glee was there for me while I navigated part of my time in high school, and while I navigated understanding myself and finding out who I really am. Every character left some mark on me, teaching me and guiding me. There was a place to feel accepted in Glee that I didn’t find elsewhere. These characters were just like me, and while we may not have all shared the same experiences, there is an understanding that comes from growing up and opening yourself up to change. I will carry Glee with me forever! It’s more than a show, it’s a part of my life. “Glee is about opening yourself up to joy”, and I definitely did. I get the biggest smile on my face when I watch the show, listen to the music, or even just think about it. Glee has brought me role models, friendships, acceptance, and love! <3 Gleeks for life! “We were all raised by different parents, but we grew up together in the glee club.
