Saw a preview for “Sully” when I saw “Ghostbusters,” and I immediately noticed Mike O’Malley in it. Checked the IMDb and found that Valerie Mahaffey and Max Adler are also in the film.

Was rewatching the West Wing episode “Lord John Marbury” (S01E11) last night (in line with listening to the West Wing Weekly podcast, which I am absolutely loving). I was surprised to see a young Iqbal Theba as the Indian Ambassador. Also interesting? Erick Avari played the Pakistani Ambassador. Some cross-cultural casting there, which I wonder if it was deliberate.

Why do the media feel it necessary to make it sound like “Glee” was a miserable experience that the actors were trapped in that they have now been “rescued” from? I mean, I keep seeing it when the former “Glee” actors are interviewed about current projects. I don’t see the media doing that for other long-running shows (I mean, they don’t talk about HIMYM the same way when talking to former HIMYM actors.)

My children (age 5.5) are surfing on kid-safe music apps on my phone and just randomly landed on “Teenage Dream.” I am having an attack of feels.

Unexpected Jane Lynch sighting in The West Wing, in the episode “In the Shadow of Two Gunmen Part I” as a reporter at CJ’s press briefing (where Danny first asks her if anyone has talked about the 25th Amendment). I recognized her voice before I recognized her face.

In the on-set interview for “Hot in Cleveland,” Chris Colfer says that he is glad he didn’t have to sing on the show because it would probably mean singing in front of a live studio audience, and that is something he’d “just be terrified to do.” And it struck me that this really differentiates him from the majority of his costars, most of whom have experience in musical theatre in one way or another.
