Pictures of our predecessors Human evolution did not happen overnight. The Homo sapiens species has been slowly evolving since the chimpanzees separated from their predecessors six million years ago. But in this Homo tribe there were not only sapiens, there were many others who looked just like us. Evolution has reached such heights today with the help of genome sequencing, molecular evolution, forensic science, statistics and computer science that it may seem unimaginable to the general public. Although unimaginable, it is real today, and the image below is an example of that reality. This image shows the facial features of our predecessors created from their skulls with the help of special algorithms. The facial features found in the early skulls are very similar to those of chimpanzees, but as time goes on, their facial features look much like those of today's humans. The face of Homo Heidelbergensis, fluorescensis, and Neanderthalnsis cannot be distinguished from the face of modern man with the naked eye. Don't get me wrong, these species but humans are not Homo sapiens, they are all different. The skeletons of all of them have been found and the skeletal and skull characteristics of all of them are different from each other. Detailed information about these predecessors will be given in this album. That's all for today.
