This might be the best comics cover ever. Troy recalls buying the graphic novel off the strength of cover's message alone. (Also Frank Miller and Dave Gibbons) Give Me Liberty was released around the time of the L.A. riots. It seemed very topical. Odd, given the political climate in the US over the past few years, that this book seems to have been buried. Surely the story of a black woman from a modest upbringing taking on an inherently corrupt and racist system is exactly what the world needs to see? I guess if it ain't a holier than thou white bloke in spandex the wider comics community aren't interested, huh?
