So I’m in this coding program for girls and today a girl basically told us a story was out how she encountered someone on the street that PROVED why we are doing these programs. So she was on public transportation yesterday, and a stranger(male) goes ‘what does your shirt say?’ And my friend had wore a shirt that says 'I’m a girl who codes.’ He then went and said 'what? What does that mean? Those jobs aren’t for girls. They’re supposed to stay at home.’ And my friend went on to tell him how this kind of gender bias is exactly why we have this program and he then went 'good for you’ and my friend just SASSED him and said 'yeah, it IS good for me.'😂
