Character Study #4 "Gfighter #2"
The 2nd installment of my 2019 art series. I really enjoy watching martial arts, specifically watching technique, I think technique is what makes martial arts so special ya know. Its probably one of the big reasons I enjoy watching artists do there thing (which is a very few) its probably why I dont like standing around with random artists and by random i mean artists im not interested in. And yea, there's defenetly some controdictions ive made in my head typing these words down but if I try to explain what I mean by that I'll be here all day cause im terrible at that trust me.
I admire the Naruto anime series alot, thank god for Kishimoto.If your reading this first off thank you... thank you soooo much for taking the time to read my bullshit. Also if you dont know "Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki" the anime takes place in a ninja world blah blah blah you can google the rest if you want. I always thought the fight seens were amazing. Even better there fight stances, oh my god so many different stances so many different techniques and forms of attacking or defending against the opponent like Kishimoto brought several martial artists in to help direct fight scenes. 2 of my favorite stances in "Naruto" come from Rock Lee aka Bruce Lee's super powerd son and Neji Hyuga the Genius. The stance your looking at in this art piece is inspired by both, though I didnt realize it at the time. I step back and I really can see how much the signature stances influenced this panting, Rock Lee's taijutsu stance and Neji's gentlefist technique. And thats really what im aiming for in my Gfighter art series, form and not just forms that I think are cool but also forms I think are cool in my head(the ones I make up)Im going into this art series with the intent to go crazy with form but not make it difficult to the point when im painting and regreting my decision.
