3. How many classes have you taken?

ive never officially taken art classes? i took the “art” classes they provided at public schools if that counts? i didnt rlly learn anything bc we did arbitrary stuff but i took a class in my 7th and 11th grade year!

7. How often do you use references?

#i mean half of me is like ur not Wrong #but the other half of me wants garrosh to be that one dude that cares but is Awful at showing it #like the reason hes blasting music is so you don't think or talk about sad things

that’s ultimately what this post is supposed to convey. he’s a bad friend, but he’s still a friend. he doesn’t know how to deal with other people’s pain or negative emotions but the second you call him he’s THERE (his impulsivity also contributes to this). he shows up even if he cant do anything and he says “at least i’m here, aren’t i?” and like, yeah, okay, but you dont get points for doing the bare minimum. but at the same time, he does, because he showed up when 👏 no 👏 one 👏 else 👏 would 👏. then he does weird shit like send you a snap of his coffee at some ungodly hour because that’s how he shows you he’s thinking of you, even though he’s not considering that maybe you would like sleep. or context.

he just communicates differently, and of course with his fists of iron he’s naturally heavy-handed in everything he does. he wants to beat the shit out of whatever it is that’s fucking with you—more for his own comfort than yours, at least superficially—but if it’s inside you, like hurt feelings or a broken heart or fatigue, he can’t just start pummeling you. but he shows up to the battle anyway, ready to fight the enemy as soon as he can identify it. “I will put on good music that i like and eat good food that i like and that will take care of this situation.”

i dont think garrosh is low empathy necessarily, but i do think he’s not very interpersonally-inclined. he’s of the persuasion like “well -I- like this, how could anyone else NOT like this???” and i think even if you agreed with him in earnest (oh, i LOVE metallica!) he’d just be like, “WELL, OF COURSE YOU DO.” rather than like “hell yeah, aren’t they awesome!?” Even his voice lines in HotS are more self-referential than anything (”I’ve heard a lot about how vicious you are. Time to see if the rumors are true.”; “Finally, someone who understands true leadership.”) This is the best encapsulation for me:

“of course it is an honor to fight beside your warchief. who is me. don’t forget it.”
