The storyline was pretty cool in the beginning and the middle. But, season four and five got a little too crazy for my liking. Also the main characters and their personalities. Well their personalities were OK for the most part, but Donnie bordered from being a stuck up genius to being a jealous possessive stalker to April. Leonardo constantly went a little too far with his roles as the leader, his relationship with Karai and his constant one-man missions. Raphael‘s temper became too much at times, and also all three of the older turtles treatment towards Mikey.

I know Mikey had his annoying moments, but sometimes they were awful to him for just literally being himself. It was getting harder and harder to watch because of how they treated him. Even splinter saw Mikey is nothing but a brainless joker. Shredder was a pretty good villain, but the levels he would go just to exact his crazy revenge was just baffling.

And don’t even get me started on the female characters, it’s like they were only put there to serve as love interests, nothing else. Mona Lisa could’ve been a fantastic character, but she basically gave up who she is to be with Raph. A guy she knew for literally a few hours in space.

Also Karai, Even though she’s technically the turtles’ sister everyone insisted on pushing her and Leo into a relationship. Do you not see what is weird and messed up about all that?

And April. Sweet Lord above April O’Neil. They totally ruined her character, she bordered between damsel in distress and wannabe ninja. Constantly toying with Donnie’s feelings, instead of just being upfront with him. Also doing the same to Casey, although not to the same extent. Third season turns out she’s a mutant alien with psychic powers and is basically over powered. Then suddenly in season four season she becomes an immediate kunoichi. Yet it took Karai, AN EXPERT, years to get where she is.
