Spicy Ginger Switchel is a tangy, energizing drink that is good for you because it has apple cider vinegar, ginger, and turmeric in it. It's great for staying hydrated and can be drunk at any time of the day to cool off.
Ingredients: 4 cups water. 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup fresh ginger, sliced. 2 tablespoons raw honey or keto-friendly sweetener. 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper. Pinch of cayenne pepper adjust to taste.
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine water, apple cider vinegar, ginger, honey or sweetener, turmeric, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once simmering, reduce heat to low and let it steep for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature. Strain the mixture to remove the ginger slices. Transfer the switchel to a glass jar or pitcher and refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice and enjoy the refreshing and spicy flavor!
