ケースボトルと呼ばれるこちらのスクエア型のボトルは様々な種類のお酒、
主にジンを木箱に6~24本詰めにして効率的に送るためにつくられ、
17世紀中頃にヨーロッパで生産され始めました。
18世紀以前の初期のものは底との角度が無く
ストンと四角い形と底の粗いポンティルが特徴だと思います。
フランス仕入れでありますが、イギリスかオランダのものと思われます。

ジンボトルに笹百合 鳶口ライン炻器とライン炻器小壺 6月8,9,10日日開催される青花の会骨董祭に並べる予定です。 ジンボトルは18世紀オランダ。ライン炻器の２点は古作の部類のもので、10ｰ11世紀にドイツケルンに程近いブリュールと言うところでつくられたものです。肌合いは本当に日本の須恵器に似ています。ドイツライン川沿いに広がるラインラントには、ローマ時代にはこの手の焼き物の窯が築かれていたそうです。 #青花の会骨董祭 #antiques #ginbottle #stoneware #galleryuchiumi
ケースジンボトル 19世紀 オランダ 檜扇 白水引 V.HOYTEMA&Cと刻印のある、ジェネバと言われるジンを入れていた24cm程の瓶です。オランダのHOYTEMA家は18世紀初頭から手広くジンを製造販売していたようです。当時オランダにとってジンは主要な輸出品の１つで、ヨーロッパ内は勿論、植民地を通してアフリカ、アジアにも運ばれていたようです。 この瓶はその口造りから、19世紀後半1870ｰ1880年頃に量産されたものと思われます。運搬の効率性から６本単位箱詰めにされたこれらの瓶は、ケースボトルとも呼ばれています。 瓶の大きさは、28cmと24cm前後の２種類が主で、それより小さいものもあるようですが数は少ないと思われます。 10,000円 夏季休業のお知らせ 8月13ｰ16日並びに8月21日-29日休ませていただきます。 #antiques #flowers #ginbottle #galleryuchiumi
