PRIDE MONTH CELEBRATION WEEK π FILM:
I will be king, and you will be queen.
GIA (1998) dir. Michael Cristofer
Antoinette and Elijah + Gia and Elijah were the only healthy ships Elijah Mikaelson ever had in The Originals and TVD. Both ships had amazing chemistry and lots of potential.
I especially love Elijah and Antoinette because it was the only time we saw Elijah tryly happy and especially because Antoinette taught Elijah to love himself and what he is.
The writers never gave Gia the opportunity to do that for Elijah. Gia was a great character who had amazing chemistry with Elijah and she could have given Elijah his own storyline outside Klaus and his family. They would have made a great couple if the writers ever gave them a chance. Gia was an amazing character even without the pairing with Elijah and she was killed way too soon in the show.
"Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today, it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above."
Angelina Jolie as Gia Carangi in Gia (1998) dir. Michael Cristofer
