Okay, long but not very interesting story INCOMING: I’ve always loved superheroes, but as a kid I was more into Spider Man and X-Men. At the time the thing I loved about Batman was his vehicles, gadgets, but I didn’t care that much about him or the villains or... any of it really? It wasn’t until I started watching Batman the Animated Series that I started to become interested. Weirdly enough the things that hooked me were Scarecrow, and the Feat of Clay episodes (I was destined to be a horror fan, clearly). The events going on in the comics at the time were not my cup of tea, so I ended up reading the older books and mostly Batman vs Aliens (I was reading Alien comics at the time). It was this drawn out process of reading books off and on when I could convince my parents to buy them for me. Oh, another funny thing- The thing that got me really into the comics was Robin. That gimmick worked 100% on me as a kid lol I’ve also always had this thing with superhero families, so the Batfam really pulled me in. It wasn’t this instant spark of interest, it was actually a very long and slow progression of interest over many many years.
