[ a-temperamental-pawn ]:
Her words were met with silence- not from blatant ignorance on the boy’s behalf but from the complete inability to form coherent words.
Cyar was scared. His body trembled uncontrollably, like a leaf. Attempts to hide his shaky breaths were made in vain, and he felt so helpless. He felt so alone. The feeling was cruel, sapping him from warmth and leaving him with no solid ground whatsoever to land on. He wanted someone, anyone, to give him something to hold onto.
The pain in his side was slowly turning numb. This caused him to panic. Wildly looking up, black bangs swept in front of Cyar’s face before he realized that the voice speaking to him actually came from someone. The familiar girl that he’d met a long time ago was here. He wasn’t left to face the unbearable reality by himself.
Shivering even more, and keeping his hand tightly clutched to the wound that was so clearly leeching his strength, the teen blinked his pained green eyes once before gathering the remainder of his energy to form two barely audible words that he hoped she would be able to hear.
[ tearful eyes meet cyar's gaze.
swallowing back a gigantic lump of
tears, she forces her brain to run.
she wants to be able to think so that
she can heal him, so that he can't feel
the pain. looking at the wound shaded
with the same color as her scarf, the
shade that reminded her of that day--
no, she can't afford to think about that
now!! thinking that // perhaps // he
was drained due to his body trying to
keep up with the extremities the
situation has put on him, she decides
that the truth is not really something
she should keep from him anymore.
he has been left out, ignorant, for far
too long. ]
"a... ataeru."
[ trembling lips lets out the word. as
a small, thin layer of light envelops
them both. tears stream down her
porcelain skin, and her sobs are heard
all through out the place they are at.
a minute passes with her as a sobbing
mess, the light now wavering and
fading out of sight. surely, lots of
energy must have been passed to the
other, because she feels so drained
right now. she'd have to take the energy
back somehow, or else she won't be
able to help. ]
"h-hey, cyar... aa, i know it's most
likely you won't be able to answer this,
but... man, what in the world happened?
"anyway, you must be feeling...
kinda c-cold, huh? yeah, you can have
this."
[ slim fingers slides the warm scarf upon
the other, putting it on cyar in such a way
that it's as if she's putting it on herself.
but even if she has helped him in such
a small way, she can't help but feel so
stupid & worthless & dumb that she
rests her head upon the part of his
chest where it wasn't hurting. ]
"please don't die. don't leave me
alone. please...
i don't want to be
alone anymore. so..."
[ memories of the past come up yet
again. on how she felt so lonely. on
how she remained so ignorant. on
how she thought everything would
go right. no, no!! it was too sad.
she doesn't want it to repeat. she
doesn't want it. louder sobs echo
across the abandoned building,
causing her hands to reach up to
her mouth in order to turn down
their volume. she can't let her
feelings blind her upon helping
cyar, but... but it was so hard, so
incredibly hard to do that. ]
