it was a tuesday night, your boyfriend had gotten home monday night from a two month tour around the country with his best friends smokedope2016 and bartesianwater.
you were so excited to have him back, as much as you loved supporting him in what his passion you’d missed him. which brings you to now, 3:45 in the morning sitting on a beat up couch wrapped in a fluffy blanket watching your boyfriend and his two friends mess around with buttons in the studio while you’re slightly tipsy from drinking earlier in the night.
“no bro this beat is ten times better, im telling you!” bart’s voice rising slightly on the other side of the room as him and ian started arguing causing your boyfriend to roll his eyes and start making his way towards you.
you smiled at your boyfriend as he approached.
“hi baby.”
“hi sweetheart, you doin’ okay?”
“yeah, could use a blunt though” a small smile taking over your features.
he laughed in response before reaching into his pocket. “here you go, only the best for my baby.”
“thank you” you grabbed it from his hand as he sat next to you.
the two of you smoked together in silence, cuddling up under the blanket watching the two men in front of you argue.
“they’re so dramatic”
“imagine living with them for two months, personal hell baby”
“you had fun though didn’t you?” you reached towards the ashtray, putting the blunt out.
your boyfriend quickly reached for you, almost like he was scared of you disappearing if you left his side for too long.
“yeah i had fun baby, i missed you though. wish you could’ve came with.”
“yeah, me too.” you sunk into your boyfriend’s arms.
the truth was you were lonely while he was away but you’d never tell him that because you know he’d never go on tour again without you and you wouldn’t allow yourself to come between his dreams.
your boyfriend kissed the top of your head and squeezed you close to him. “okay i have to go finish this song, after that we can go home okay?”
“sounds perfect baby.”
