For anyone out there who’s still pretending they’re against the new Ghostbusters because they think a reboot will harm the franchise’s integrity and because they’re against the idea of remakes in principle (where it suits them) and won’t stop bemoaning the lack of a “true” Ghostbusters 3 with the original cast all reprising their roles - guess what fake geek guys, it already exists, and it’s called Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd came up with the story (which takes place in 1991, two years after Ghostbusters II, and is considered officially canon) and contributed script doctoring. They also both reprise their roles, alongside Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, William Atherton, and Max Von Sydow.
Don’t think Ghostbusters should be remade? Fair enough. But if any of you actually gave a shit about the current state of the Ghostbusters franchise and weren't just using it to sound off and be big ol’ sexists, you’d know about the game already and would stop god-damn moaning.
