Not my best composition, I’ll admit, but I had the urge to draw Ghostbug and Crimsonbug and fought through cramps and exhaustion to draw it so sue me!

These two belong to @heartfulselkie and their Kaleidoscope AU. If you haven’t read it, READ it. No excuses. And leave comments and stuff too telling @hartfulselkie how Awsome they are. Cool? Okay. Cool.

Since Ghostbug is a manifestation through the Miraculous, she's bound to similar rules as the kwamis. Which means she can't say her own name as a living and active Ladybug holder.

DISCLAIMER: Spiderverse: Exogenesis takes place after the events of Beyond the Spiderverse, ~1 year after or more. As such, divergence from canon character interpretation and story is to be expected. Furthermore, changes and additions to this AU also affect canon character interpretation.

The man who runs the Spider-Society has more to hide than what meets the eye.

A secret that weaves its way through the furthest reaches of the multiverse.

Containing anomalies is not the only thing the Spider-Society was made for, even if that was its original purpose. The butterfly effect that an anomaly has on a universe is difficult to calculate, and can be catastrophic down the road whether it be days or years after the original event. Perhaps a civilian caught in the crossfire seeks vengeance, or a villain expands beyond their original ability due to their newfound knowledge of the multiverse.

Without a way to contain these butterfly-effect anomalies, they're often detrimental to a universe. The only way to save a universe from collapsing in this instance is to remove the anomaly from the universe completely. Originally, Miguel did this alone, knowing that many members of the Spider-Society would disagree with his methods and try to find another way to solve the problem. And he himself disliked his methods--but it was necessary to save the most people in the long run.

So when the task became to expansive and complicated for the leader of the Spider-Society to take on alone, he chose carefully those who would be qualified to take on these missions. Most important were people who he believed he could trust; both personally and with the secrecy of these missions. But secondly, Spider-People who had unique abilities and strengths that would aid these high-risk missions.

With this taskforce of Spider-People, this Spider-Corps, the multiverse remains safe. But when certain members crack under the pressure, will this secret be kept? Or will the truth be revealed?
