I'm glad Holy Horror Mansion is allowing itself to be its own thing, not limiting itself by having to prove it's part of YW. If there are any YW connections or cameos I hope they don't take priority over its own characters and stuff, because I think the game should be newcomer-friendly.
imo Yokai Academy Y had a lot of potential as this crazy tokusatsu themed au of YW... but then it turned out to be a full on sequel, having to fit in with its already complicated timeline, and the yokai were now humans because aliens destroyed the afterlife... it was a lot, intimidatingly so.
Holy Horror Mountain meanwhile seems to aim for a familiar but different feel of adventurous spooky fun ghost shenanigans for anyone to jump into, and I'm all here for it.
