Heres a story for ya
So, one time before I was going into work, I decided to go get some ramen from my favorite noodle shop in town. Now my favorite ramen dish at this said noodle shop has a pork bone-based broth, with pork belly, and a braised egg on top. You know, the whole studio Ghibli food shabang. Now, the thing about pork broth when I eat it is that it gives me the WORST GAS IMAGINABLE. Like it smells so bad, I made my own father gag one time because of how horrendous the odor was that had come straight out of my ass. I, of course, thought to myself while I was eating my bowl of delicious noodles, there's no possible way the gas will start while I’m at work. I, however, was wrong. Very, very, wrong.
So, here I was. At work. A living ticking time bomb. As I passed fellow coworkers, I felt a rumble in my belly, and I knew it was time. But, I like my coworkers and I didn't want to crop dust them, so I did what any good human being does. I went to a corner to do my nasty business. But without my knowledge, a coworker had followed behind to talk about work drama. I, however, had already begun to let this fart out, so my coworker was about to hear me rip a new one. But thank the skies, it was a silent one. But owe was it deadly. It didn't take long for my coworker to smell it and then that's when the fear struck in. But bless this coworker’s heart, because the first thing that came out of their mouth was “Do you smell that? I think a rat died in the vent system again”. I nodded and agreed profusely. This led to us go tell one of our mangers, the GM, in fact, about this “dead rat smell”. Low and behold, another one was about to bite this dust. And it did. One whiff of that stench that had come out of my ass convinced my GM that a rat or even more than one had died in the vent system. So that's the story of how my ass shut down a restaurant for 48 hours so the ventilation system could be checked for dead and/or alive rats.
