Michael Ivers is the Business Operations Director at the Anita Borg Institute.  This will be his second GHC, and he shares his tips below.

1.  Suits and ties are not necessary  (unless you really want to stand out as an interviewee).

2.  Do not miss the Posters Session in the Community Fair.  The session offers some truly outside-the-box and coloring outside of the lines type of thinking.

3.  Pace yourself, there is a lot to see, hear, and people to meet.  Be sure to arrive early for the keynotes and highly anticipated speakers.

4.  Make sure to pack extra socks and an umbrella - Houston is rainy this time of year.  

5.  Be prepared to meet some truly brilliant, astounding, creative, inspiring people – wear a smile and say “Hello” often
