so uh, I made a tiktok slideshow of mine and my friend's fav and least fav character/ship/duo and she's getting a little hate(idk what to call it) but it's because she likes asako x yoshiki as her favorite ship, which I think the 'hate' is just absolutely fucking shitty, it's just her personal preference, so I don't think it matters? The comments are about how yoshiki is canonically gay, and how it's weird or wrong to ship a straight ship
i did try to tell them it was just HER personal preference, but they just kept saying it was wrong. i also meantioned how others ship straight ships, despite one or both characters being gay(like Mizi x Ivan, Mizi x Till, Sua x Ivan)
I'd like to add that one person tried saying the ENTIRE show is about how yoshiki is scared to be gay? If you have watched the show, you'd know that the show isn't mainly or just about yoshiki scared of liking boys, it's about how he learns to live with 'hikaru'. It's also the horror and rituals, AND how the two learn about the monster who was taking hikaru's place.
edit: I probably should have explain a little more... I get it's wrong, I was disappointed myself. Despite the fact I was disappointed and a bit mad, I didn't hate or call her names. I have no idea who these people where, but calling us dumbasses and saying she's implying slurs is a bit far. I explained to the people who sent hate that she ships Yoshiki and Hikaru, but it just wasn't her favorite. To go more in depth I guess about why I kept saying it's her opinion, wasn't because I though the opinion was okay, I said it because it's what she likes, so random people hating won't change it. I didn't want to receive more hate or possible DMS on her or my account about that they wish something bad happens to us(because, unfortunately some people do that) so I deleted all comments and said if people were there just to hate, then they should leave, or I'll just delete the comment. I'm not trying to completely excuse her for her opinion, but I'm not saying that means it's okay to hate and that nothing will change it, especially random people on the internet. My problem with the hate is us being called dumbasses and she implied slurs, which she didn't imply or say any. I apologize for not explaining enough, so I hope this helps a little more.
