I came home from school today to discover that I'd received 57 likes between 10 am and 11 am today. That felt...startling. And this is why I don't really know what I want from the world and from my social interactions on here. I like when people see my posts. I like being noticed, because it makes me feel validated or something. Considering I have no friends besides my dad in real life, I suppose that desire for attention makes sense. But when I get 57 likes or reblogs in an hour...well, it's highly discombobulating. I still appreciate it, but I feel less of a desire for the attention once it reaches that mass. I don't quite understand it, but it's all 100% true for me.
Speaking of, I have a few new posts I want to make. I wrote some stuff in my drafts today, so I'm going to try to make those into posts now. But I keep getting distracted by fire emblem still. I think it's easy to get distracted by it, mainly because writing requires a lot of conscious effort from me while playing a game doesn't require as much thought. But still, I want to get all my posts written down. So I'll try to make it all work. I'll try.
