Quick recap of last Saturday. Ran my first Dirty German 25k trail race. I have loved every Uberenuranceports event I have run. This is mo exception. The field is small. The trails are well marked. The aid stations are spaced out but well manned and stocked. On course entertainment is unlike any other race. Swag is amazing. And the support of other runners is incredible. I was slogging up hills getting passed by 50M and 50k runners eho almost all had a thumbs up or an emcouraging word. I was spent by mile 10, but my love of trails is rekindled. When it was over, I stopped at a local track to watch a friend running in the Dawn to Dusk to Dawn. 24 hours running around a track. Yikes. Makes 25 trail ks seem like...a walk in the park.

My first Rugged Maniac!
Has anyone ran in a obstacle course mud run? If not i suggest that you give it a try. It is great fun in my opinion. I did my first mud run in 2012, it was the Warrior Dash. Since then i have done that one every year. Last year i ran in the Spartan Race for the first time. That one was intense, fun, a struggle, But i got through it in one piece. Yes, I am country!! I'm not afraid to admit it! You either like me for who I am or get over it. No one will ever change me . I am who I am and I am proud of it. Most of these country chicks try to hide it. Not me, I will drive the oldest,most rusted truck to school in jeans a t-shirt and my boots. My boots are almost always muddy. If they aren't muddy then I am probably going somewhere fancy.
