it's always interesting to meet agents who haven't been around for a while because so many of the people existing in these halls are people she knew before meia was meia. yet here is this demon who apparently had been out in the wilds before ending up here. she’d been tending to him in the medic wing for a while now and now that the training week is here she finds herself seeking him out. 

“hey there, geon!” ash jogs up to the other agent, a small grin on her face and her clothing covered in dirt and grass stains. she’d just got down with another three legged race when she’d come across the other.

Well, this was sure a way to blow off steam. The water gun fights had been a bit intense, but getting drenched, while somewhat humiliating, was a welcome cold shock to his system. Projectiles (except for bullets) he was used to dodging…but water arched in such a weird way that he was getting hit a lot if he didn't take cover. Hence him hiding behind a corner of a wall now, preparing his next move. Maybe if he moved to more central cover, he'd be able to get a better sight line on the enemy–

Sero forms a plan in his mind, his body starting to move with a goal ahead of him. At least, until he darts out from his hiding spot and lets out an embarrassing yelp at the sudden person–no, demon–in front of him. He stumbles back behind cover, ready to shoot, the face of his enemy processing in his mind, confusion and surprise coming over him.

while hanging around in an area you are not authorized to be in, you overhear vital information that a higher up should hear. this would also mean admitting you were in the wrong place. what do you do? be honest.

the front steps of the agency are littered with bags and boxes and various furniture. there exists a small pathway from the door out to the yard unless someone wants to wiggle their way through the various objects that take up the bulk of the space. 

which is exactly what doyun is doing right now. 

“hey heeyyy, geon!” he calls out to the other agent. someone who recently had ended up on his team with the whole shuffle. the baby team they are still--as annoying as that is. but he likes geon. another demon agent like his brother though more quiet? he’s still trying to get to know the other. 

LAST TIME

“Don’t get ahead of yourself….but yes, this could mean everything truly will change.”

The leader of the agency stepped away, back to the door. “We have four days, youre free to do whatever in that time. but Lerissa–” she waits for the medic to look her way. “Four days.” 

NOW

“Oh, Agent Shadow. Good you arrived—come on in and have a seat.” Lerissa waves the demon agent in. Every warm and welcoming the head medic attempts to calm whatever nerves the agent may have.

The temporary medic room is actually just an office near the front of the agency. Most of the building has been closed off and that includes the medic halls. But Lerissa doesn’t need much room to work. 

“I know this is sudden and we are in a time crunch, but this is also very important.” Lerissa speaks quickly as she sets things up. A bag of vials rests open on one of the tables. 

She explains that recent developments have allowed her to create a sort of serum that could, possibly, be the cure to the demon poison. That Geon is going to be the first to test it. 

“There shouldn’t be any reaction with this if it doesn’t work, but if it does… Well, you’ll be fully human again.” She explains as she puts the finishing touches in the mixture before shaking it. The serum is a swirling yellowish gold color. Flecks of dark gray appear as it spins. 

The move day is the following morning. Less than 24 hours to go and Lerissa knows this might be a bad time to test this. 

But if it works? Their whole mission will be changed, people could be saved. They would be going into this with more of an advantage. 

Of course she’s a little hopeful. 

“Lay back, just like that.” She pulls gloves on, her eyes going white as she activates her enhancement. The serum in her hands ready to go. 

“Ok Geon, let’s begin.”

COMMUNICATION RECIEVED FROM GHOST

CONTINUATION FROM PART ONE [ HERE ] 

Beep….. Beep….. Beep.

Click. 

The door slides shut, footsteps echoing across the bare room to stand beside the bed. A glove covered hand reaches out to tap the holographic chart, bringing it up for everyone to see. The machine beeps a steady rhythm.

“Where did you find her?” MAYLIN’s voice breaks through the silence of the private medic room. The information from the chart is shifted as another hand reaches out. Tapping information and revealing an agent profile.

“The east edge of South Gate, just beyond the perimeter of the city.” SOL speaks up. He stands beside ALISTAIR on the other side of the bed. JINX stands at the end of the bed, controlling the patient's chart.

“She was unconscious when found and has yet to wake.” ALISTAIR adds on.

“Celest?” MAYLIN calls.

A meow is heard from lower down but none of the head agents look down. Used to speaking with the tech agent from her various cat bots.

“I cross referenced her identity with our sister agencies as well as any other databases from other countries that were still up and running. Her name was blacked out but I found her rank and code name, Senior Agent Valkyrie. She’s enhanced, but not sure how. Apparently she was on a long term mission with GHA.” CELEST’s voice explains from the cat bot, the information on the holographic chart shifts around with her words.

“GHA? How did she end up all the way here?” JINX asks, crossing her arms over her chest. “Should we bring Agent Shadow in for questioning?” 

“Not yet, but send a message to his team leader to have him on standby for the day.” MAYLIN says. 

“Her mission details are blacked out, and the GHA server seems to be completely fried. I can’t dig into anything else.” CELEST replies. “I did manage to find one thing though.”

The screen shifts rapidly, a video feed takes over. The video shows a clear image of an older man in a military style outfit. His expression is grim, stance tense.

“The time is 0346. I, Grandsir, do believe my time in this agency and this world are coming to an end. If you are receiving this message then that means my fears have come true. They….. broke……End….” The video feed glitches, ripping apart what GRANDSIR is saying. “...KAISER….” The head agents all tense at the familiar name that breaks through the feed.

“Hold, let me try and clean it up.” CELEST says. The video starts over but it still glitches in the same places as before.

“Was that the only correspondence you could find?” MAYLIN questions.

“That was the only video. I did find an encrypted file though.” CELEST continues, pulling up the password screen. “I’ve been working on cracking it–”

“Have you tried the password MEIA?” MAYLIN cuts in.

Silence reigns as four stars appear slowly in the password box. Within seconds the file is unlocked and reveals an array of information from maps to documents.

“So… our sister agency has fallen.” MAYLIN says after a moment of silence. She reaches out and taps one of the maps. It opens to reveal the city Tacetel. There is a red dot beeping on the map.

“The old man left us a mission.” JINX says, pinching her fingers to zoom in on the map.

“Celest, I want all of this information decoded and key information highlighted ASAP. The rest of you, begin the steps for mission ; Blue.” A chorus of agreements echoed around the room before the head agents filed out.
