The Truth for Women Center is a haven where women are treated with honor and respect. We offer hope, help and healing. The Center is a place where any woman in any type of crisis can receive the help they need. We work with women who suffer with depression, anxiety, physical abuse, sexual abuse, anger, hopelessness and so much more. The Truth for Women Center is working with a local coalition to confront the issue of sex trafficking and exploitation through advocacy, education and awareness. By working together, they can expose these operations and open a safe house for the women who are removed from this horror.

Third Street Alliance for Women and Children
The mission of Third Street Alliance is to improve the quality of life for members of the community, with special emphasis on women and children. From its beginning in 1909 as a grassroots YWCA, it has served the community and worked to meet the needs of a changing world. In its earlier days, it provided opportunities for physical, mental, and social development and offered rental rooms for many women migrating to the area. In the 1980's, the organization became a human services agency, taking on the new problems of homelessness, child care for working families, and the care of aging adults.

Founded in 2007 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, by James and Athena Pond, Transitions provides comprehensive restorative aftercare for girls rescued from sex trafficking. Each girl at Transitions receives personalized care to heal from her past and provide opportunities for her future. A girl who finds her home at Transitions finds a new beginning. She finds hope, with holistic trauma therapy, life skills training and sustainable career skills, she finds a dream for her future. Our mission is to help girls transition, through the power of a dream, from darkness to light and from victim to survivor, to world changer.

International Women's Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements. Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet bloc. In many regions, the day lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother's Day and St Valentine's Day. In other regions, however, the original political and human rights theme designated by the United Nations runs strong, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide are brought out and examined in a hopeful manner.
