Center for Vision Loss

The Center for Vision Loss is the region's only community benefit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with vision loss and has been serving Lehigh, Northampton and Monroe Counties since 1928. The agency provides Vision Rehabilitation Services to help its customers work towards their highest level of independence and restore their quality of life. Programs include lifeskills education, support groups, escorted transportation with a sighted guide, casework support and socialization activities. The agency also provides Low Vision Services, Vision Help and Community Outreach including vision screenings and educational programs about eye health and safety.

Billy Sidwell

If you like country, you'll love Bill Sidwell...in 2009 Billy made his return to the music world when he wrote a song called ' Battlescars ' the song was a true story written about his own childhood growing up from a broken home.

He shared his lyrics on facebook with a few friends and soon realized that so many people out there could relate to his words.

Through word of mouth and self promotion he has obtained nearly 4,000 loyal fans that call themselves " The B.S Army " and he has did all of this with no radio airplay or backing from a record label.

In her own words: Hi, I’m Wendy Schettig, Christian singer, songwriter, acoustic guitarist from the Philadelphia area. My style of Christian music is unique compared to what most folks are playing today. If you like James Taylor's style of guitar playing but with Christian words, you'll like my music. The songs I sing are folk/blues and mostly original but also include a few covers of Americana and Roots music in the style of Julie Miller, Eva Cassidy, and others. I perform several ways: as a soloist with just me and my guitar, as a duo with my lead guitarist, or with my four piece band which includes lead guitar, keyboard, drums, and bass. As a soloist or a duo, you can expect an intimate evening of Christian folk/blues with a gentle but clear message wrapped around the stories behind the songs. I wrote this song while going through a post-abortion Bible study at Crossroads Pregnancy Care in Quakertown, PA. Abortion was a past choice of mine that I was so ashamed of that I could find no peace. Even after accepting Jesus as my Savior, I couldn't believe He would truly forgive me of that terrible crime. It was only during that Bible study that I finally gave it up to Jesus and found freedom in His incredible mercy. That is what this song is about.

Lynne Jackson

Through their musical career, Lynne Jackson and her husband/partner, Mike Palter, have worn “two hats.” While still in Boston, the pair had been given the first Encore Cabaret Humanitarian Award for their efforts on behalf of children, the hungry and the homeless. After moving to Los Angeles, they co-composed the "We Dream A Brighter Day" anthem for UNICEF which helped to bring awareness of the Ethiopian famine to the world.
