Every time I think about how violent and racist (esp anti-Black) white people on here get about noise in public (meanwhile, they're still crying about armed resistance being scary and evil), I think of (a) that poll where white people said music in public spaces like public squares in noise pollution; (b) that racist ayeforscotland account cheering about a law making noise on trains illegal in Scotland or something, and white people were in the notes being gleeful about how people should be executed for music and noise in public, including one person sharing a link to a news story about someone who got stabbed to death over talking on their phone in public, like that was something to celebrate; (c) a popular post about how music in public is 'okay if it's a woman playing classical music on a violin under a tree, but evil and disruptive if it's someone with a boombox', which could not have been more blatantly anti-Black/racist and classist in terms of what kind of people those two examples were supposed to invoke.
White people need to take a crash course on gentrification history if they out here thinking playing music is "noise pollution"
But also these guys celebrating for more policing that targets marginalized groups is not surprising
If they weren't so scared about it, most people would honestly resort to violence themselves. We've seen it happen on multiple occasions
