Cosmic horror is best defined as a sub genre of horror that relates to the fear of the unknown. Cosmic horror is often also referred to as Lovecraftian horror due to the fact that Lovecraft’s work consisted and revolved itself around that type of fear. It is a very interesting sub genre to invest in, as it not only gives its readers a sense of psychological fear, but also a sense of philosophical pessimism. It’s ability to force its readers to see the world realistically as the harsh environment it is, has a much more horrific effect on its audience in comparison to other literary genres. Lovecraft, being the worm that he is, was also vulnerable to this fear and presented it throughout his own writings. For example, in his most famous work, The Call of Cthulhu, the real horror of it all is the fact that there is something out in the universe, we know nothing about. We are unable to pinpoint definite details of these horrors and that is what there is to fear. The Call of Cthulhu is not the only one of Lovecraft’s work that emphasizes cosmic horror, there are many more. Lovecraft overall does a lovely job of introducing this intricate sub genre to the horror genre. His works are one of the firsts to introduce this concept which is why he is credited for it. This sub genre is still relevant today and is often the base of modern horror stories. Good job Lovecraft!   ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Jack and Airica Multi-Genre Project #1: Facebook Page This Facebook page is a school student meeting page. Here we see Brontë's confession that she is going out with Brewster. Tennyson argues with her in the comments, and here is where she talks about why she loves strays. We were trying to reveal that Brontë always felt overshadowed as a child, causing her not to want anyone else to feel her pain. This shows thinking outside the box because we took a less focused-on part of the reading and gave it bigger depth by showing its backstory.

For this weeks Bruiser's Multi-Genre Project the activity I chose was the recipe activity. The reason why we chose this was because I could experiment on one subject from this weeks reading. So from this weeks reading I chose to do my recipes on low fat and high carb DOMINO'S pizzas! This was appropriate to use for this project because in (chapter 1 page 16) it talked about how the mother stopped acting so motherly so meaning she wouldn't cook anymore, all she would do Is order dominos. I also chose to do the low carb and high carb because Brontë is on a low carb diet, she peels the cheese off and gives it to her dad. So I chose to research on domino's 14" large thin crust pizza's. For the low carb pizza I saw that the Pacific Veggie Feast had least amount of carbs. Then for the high carb pizza I saw that the Meatzza feast had the most amount of carbs out of all 14" thin crust pizza.
