âJUNE 17, 2012 â OHA ASAâS PREDICTION OF THE DAY: TODAYâS LUCKY ITEM.. IS THE PERSON YOUâRE INTERESTED IN THE MOST!â
Shintaro almost choked on his tea while he ate his soba in his apartment. The surprise in his eyes dimmed, replaced with his familiar seriousnessâa low grunt escaped his lips.
The person heâs interested in the most? Oha Asa has never suggested a live, human being before. But he knew never to question its predictions.
He can feel his ears getting hot when a certain someone suddenly pops up in his mind. His grip on his chopsticks tightened, while he adjusts his glasses perched on his nose with his fingers.
He thinks about his seatmate, you.
âââââ ââ ââ â âââââ
Youâre still asleepâyou were actually planning to stay in and not go to school. Then you wake up when you hear the ringtone of your phone, making you groan.
It is Shintaro. You should check your phone before answering it.
âShintaro, do you need something?â you mumbled with a raspy voice, it sent tingles over his ear.
Midorima noticed the tone of your voice and huffed. âHave you just woken up?â
âYeah, I donât plan to go today.â
He halted tying his shoes, making his eyebrows furrowed in concern. Midorima sighed, âIt is unbecoming of a student to slack off.â
âIâm not.â
âThen what reason do you have to slack off?â
You smirked lazily over the phone, âI think Iâm having a slight fever⌠are you going to take care of me?â
He scoffed on the phone. âAs if.â
You nuzzle into your pillow, groaning. âWill you please just tell me why youâre calling me at this early hour?â You can feel your eyes growing heavy and droopy; you are already loosening your grip around your phone.
Midorima became quiet. He bit his lower lip, overthinking. He didnât want to be too straightforward and just casually say it like nothing.
Who cares? Itâs not like he is asking you out on a date. He only needs someone to be his lucky itemâa person of his interest. You are one of his acquaintances that happen to be not boring like the others.
âTakao wants you to watch our match.â
What did he say?
You blinked your sleep away, dazed. You were confused and flabbergasted because why on earth would Takao want you to watch their match? Youâre not even close to him.
And why is Shintaro the one telling you?
âWhy canât he tell me himself?â
The call ended abruptly, making you scoff at the audacity. You look at your phone in disbelief, before sitting up to curse him out.
âThis guyâ!â
âââââ ââ ââ â âââââ
âShintaroooo!â
You run quickly towards him and shout out to him with a worried voice, obviously panicking while holding out your unanswered assignment in front of his face. Tears are streaming down your cheeks.
âPlease help me!â You shake his shoulders in panic. âI forgot to do my math homework! Iâve fallen asleep after I binge-watched Coffee Prince. I donât want to fail, please! I want to keep being an honor studentââ
Midorima trembles in annoyance within your reach before cutting you off with his finger pressed to your lips. âWill you calm down?! Your voice can reach all the way through the rooftop!â
âB-But my gradeâ!â
âStop being dramatic. A tardy submission will not automatically make you fail; our teacher will only give you a deduction.â
âEvery point matters, Shin-chan!â
âDonât call me that!â
You pout before complying. Immediately scooting your chair closer to his seat with a pleading face. âBut youâll help me, right?â
You are too close.
You bat your eyelashes prettily, trying to persuade him. Shintaroâs breath hitched when he feels your face only few centimeters away from him.
He is only met with a bright smile before he is âforcedâ to help you with your homeworkâdownright snatching it from your hands.
Midorima ignores the fluttering in his heart when his fingers brush against yours.
Why canât he find himself to resist?
âââââ ââ ââ â âââââ
Takao watches his usual stoic, self-absorbent teammate act unusually. He narrows his eyes at the sight of Midorima mistakenly wrapping his fingers twiceâhe was unfocused, and it was obvious that something was weighing on his mind.
âShin-chan, are you alright?â There is no way he is actually nervous about going against Kaijo, right?
Takao was only met with a silent glare from his friend, making him blink in confusion.
Shintaro instantly denied his claim, âOf course I am, why wouldnât I be?â
âI can see your fingers getting suffocated from up here,â Takao points out with a very concerned look on his face. He gasps so dramatically, like a thunder of realization flashes down in the locker room. âAnd⌠are my eyes playing tricks on me?!â
Midorima only looks at him like he has grown two heads.
âIâm not seeing you wiping your teddy bearâor what should it be today, a ceramic vase? A shoelace? That small acorn you asked me to steal from your neighborâs garden?â Takao points out in surprise, because it was very unusual for him to not have his lucky item. âIâm seeing zero of those today. Is my Shin-chan okay?!â
Otsubo gives Midorima a worrying look. Is the world ending for him?
His teammates snickered at the sight, their coach letting out a tired sigh.
Midorima hears the ping on his phone, seeing your message that you have already arrived at the gymnasium. He does not back down at the teasing of his teammates without an answerâpartnered with a scowl. âMy lucky item is here.â
âWhat..? Did you seriously have it delivered here and at this hour?!â
If you look deep into his expression, you could see the red flush blooming on his cheeks, wanting to maintain his composure and give all of his teammates the meanest glare that he can muster. âMy luck doesnât require an exposure to all of you.â
Never in Takaoâs life has he heard such a bullshit excuse.
âAre you saying itâs spiritual today? Can that stay permaneâ?â He was shut up by a kick on his ass.
âââââ ââ ââ â âââââ
澡常 KAIJO ç§ĺžł SHUTOKU
30 - 49
Youâre in the bleachers, eyes never taking off the match. Excitement and nervousness fill your bodyâyour leg bouncing up and down in your seat while you stare at the team of your school.
Your gaze landed on the four-eyed shooting guard. Pride swells in your heart every time he shoots a three-pointer. You never fail to show your enthusiasm whenever the whole team scoresâespecially him.
âLETâS GO, SHUTOKU!â You cheer loudly and proudly, and some of the audience thinks you were the leader of the cheerleader team.
Midorima hears your voice and still keeps his attention to his opponent. For some reason, he can feel the hot rush of blood pumping even more all over his body, passing through his teammates before lifting his arms to shoot a 3-pointer.
30 - 52
âOh yes, Shintaro! Thatâs my guy!â
The audience cheer loudly with youâbut your words can be heard all throughout the gymnasium. People who are close to you whisper in curiosity at your boldness, while others agree with you.
âYouâre so amazing, Shintaro!â you shouted again with a bright grin.
Shintaro flinches, and his heart began to beat irrationally. He only lets out a âhmphâ, not wanting to show his teammates the effect you have on him.
âYou have quite the cheerleader, Midorimacchi,â Kise remarks teasingly, his eye focusing on the ball dribbling by the hand of his opponent. âIâm jealous.â
âReally? Thatâs coming from you?â Midorima comments snarkily at the hypocrisy of the blondeâs statement.
Takao who is getting screened by one of Kiseâs teammates, quickly takes a glance at the bleachers to see you, his classmate who would rather be in an arcade than watch a basketball match.
Though their team is leading the game, he knew something was off with Shintaroâs performance today.
Like he canât give his all yet.
Then his gaze falls on his friend, someone who is too silentâhis hawk-eye didnât miss the fidgety, uncertainty in his body language turned into relaxation on Shintaroâs face.
As if everythingâs fine already.
He connects the two and stifles his laughter at his silent realization.
So thatâs your lucky charm, Shin-chan.
âIâm so flattered! He made the basket because of my cheer, right?!â You said to a random stranger, who doesnât know what to do with the question but agrees.
The match ended with Shutoku winning, and you jumped in your seat happily. You wanted to do nothing but congratulate themâyou came down to the court excitedly, only standing by the side while you watched them catch their breath.
Shintaro sees you by the side, who only offers you an arrogant huff seeing the joy on your face. He sees you running towards him, holding a bottle of water and a clean towel (you stole it from their coach).
âShintaroooooo!â
You engulfed him in your arms, not caring that he was sweaty. Unfortunately, he does not feel the same wayâgrimacing when he feels his sweaty skin touching your clothes. âYou were so amazing out there!â
âStop hugging me! This is literally so disgusting?!â He tries to distance himself from your grip; somehow, youâre stronger.
âI donât care, Shin-chan! Iâm just so happy for you!â You show him your widest and brightest grin, flustering Shintaro at your compliments. He yelps when he feels you slapping his back repeatedly. âYouâre just like me!â
âWhat part of you exactly screams skilled?!â He was met with a harsher slap on the back, making him bite his tongue accidentally.
âThat hurts!â
â :D â
Midorima grumbles and stops you by gripping your whole head with his hand. He glares down at youâthe lack of anger in his voice tempting you to tease him further. âHey.â
âLet me treat you out for dinner! All of you!â You have to crane your neck up to pinch his cheeks hard; the cuteness aggression in you awakens. âAwh, youâre just so adorable!â
âShut up!â
Otsubo and Takao watch the interaction with a sweatdrop. The captain complains, âDo they really to have flirt here?â
âCan you really call that flirting?â Takao murmured uneasily. And it seems like his friend had heard him with how quick his head snaps towards him.
âââââ ââ ââ â âââââ
âSay ah!â
You hold out the tip of your chopsticks with tempura in between in front of Shintaroâs mouth. He was trembling in humiliation at what you were doing.
âI donât need you to feed me!â he turns his head away, making you sigh.
You are left with no choice but to force it down his throat, making him gag and grip your wrist to live. âMmm! You are welcome, Shin-chan!â
You ignore his attempt to bicker with you as you happily eat down your food. Takao cannot stop laughing with tears, because watching you two has always been his entertainment.
âHey, Takao. Is it true that you wanted me to be on your match?â You dodged Shintaroâs hand from silencing your voice. âYou could have texted me, you know?â
Takao blinked before looking at Shintaro with a knowing smirk. âOh, did I now?â Your four-eyed friend looks awfully freaked out. âI think someone else did.â
âWho?â
Takao deadpans at you, âYou seriously donât know?â
âIâm enjoying Shin-chanâs reactions, donât stop me,â You already knew the truth right after he hung up the phone. You werenât dumb. âYou know how hot-and-cold he is.â
Midorima just wants to get the hell away from your table and bury himself in a hole.
Both of you relish in torturing the poor greenette with devilish grins.

Hey I'm really sad rn because I experienced a trigger.. May I ask for some positive soft stuff with Dabi and a s/o who can't deal with his past and is extremely broken down because of what happened to him? Turning angst into fluffy ya know? Sorry to bother ya ._.
Sure thing. Let me get some coffee and I will write this for you. I wrote this as a drabble since itâll be super quick and to the point for you.Â
---
He had noticed that you had been sad for the most part of the day. Your eyes were downcast, storm-filled with the inner turmoil that was running through your veins. Dabiâs eyebrows furrowed as he tried to figure out what could be wrong with you. He knew that you occasionally had depression, a common theme amongst anybody with a beating heart. However, what could have set it off this time?
What gave that dying ship itsâ sails to set off?
Dabi walked into the bedroom, sliding into the bed beside you, and you seemed to tense before relaxing slightly. His soft fingertips brushed against the skin of your leg and he asked you quietly.Â
âWhatâs wrong, baby?â
You bit your lip. Did you tell him how you were feeling? Did you lie? You sighed before rolling over, your nose brushing against Dabiâs. His blue eyes glowed in the dimness of the room, a funny little detail not many people knew about his quirk.Â
Your hand came up to brush against his cheek, brushing against skin, staple, then scar. Your eyebrows furrowed, just imagining the pain and torture he had went through to. Tears filled your eyes, and Dabi looked surprised, not having expected it.Â
âI just...sometimes when I look at you, it feels me with this hurt...this pain...because I canât help but imagine what you went through.â
You bit your lip, closing your eyes and trying to stifle your sob.Â
âYouâre so beautiful to me, Dabi...you never deserved this. You never deserved anything Endeavor ever did to you.â
Dabi was surprised. You were upset because of his past? It was a new thing to him, and he hadnât expected it from you at all. Dabi sighed before flicking you in the forehead, no matter how touched he was that you cared about him.Â
âStop worrying your pretty little head over me, doll. Whatâs done is done. What matters is that I kill him in the end.â
You shook your head.Â
âBut Dabi-â
Dabi placed his finger against your lips.Â
âDoll, trust me. They donât bother me as much anymore...especially not since youâre here now. Stop worrying and go to sleep.â
You bit your lip, contemplating whether you should listen to him, and you gave in, scooting over so you could rest your head on his chest. Dabi moved to allow you to do so, and he ran his fingers through your hair as you rubbed your thumb against his chest.Â
A/n: since i suck at fulfilling requests, Iâm doing this instead. As you can tell, these will all vary in triggering content from mild to severe. I will let you know if a prompt will be extremely triggering but it is not my fault if you read this and it triggers you. I warned you.Â
You hissed when you felt the needle go through your skin, piercing into the soft and bloody flesh. Your bloody fingernails dug into your palms, and your eyes squeezed shut. Biting into the washcloth more, you could feel your jaw ache from the raw force you were exuding from trying not to yell out from the pain.Â
The dim and dirty hotel light definitely wasnât enough light for your temporary doctor to see what he was doing, but you knew that Dabi was very skilled in cleaning and stitching wounds.Â
He was steady, a skill that he had developed after years of having to stitch up wounds that he had obtained over the years, and he was patient. You could hear Dabi sigh at you, and he chided as he pulled the thread through your skin, closing up a section of your gash.Â
âYou know, this wouldnât have happened had you listened to me. Now look at you.âÂ
You glared at the man through the mirror, watching as he glanced at you with a raised eyebrow, unimpressed with you. You grabbed the cloth, taking it out to say to the man.Â
âFuck you, Dabi, I had it under control before you distracted me.â
Dabi rolled his eyes.Â
âYeah, thatâs why I had to save your goddamn ass.â
You huffed and placed the cloth back into your mouth when you felt the needle pierce you again. It was painful, definitely a pain you had never felt before. Though, Dabi did have a point.Â
If you had just listened to him, maybe you wouldnât have been sliced open like a rotisserie chicken by the Yakuza, but here you were. You just had to get confident, hadnât you? You clenched your fist, and Dabi decided to continue.Â
âI was going to leave you there and let them kill you, but I decided that you were too fun to let go. Plus, I didnât want to hear Shigaraki go on a damn tangent for losing a âvaluableâ asset. Funny, he calls you valuable and yet youâre more useless than a goddamn newborn baby.â
You growled and muttered.Â
âFuck you. I knew what I was fucking doing before you fucking distracted me.â
Dabi yanked on the string, and you yelped from the pain that went through your whole spine. He leaned into your ear, his eyes flashing at you from his reflection in the mirror.Â
âNo matter how many times you try to justify your stupidity, you will never be anything but a stupid little child Shigarakiâs taken a liking too. Donât forget that I donât care about you, little hero. Iâm only doing this so I donât have to listen to Dustyâs fucking complaining.â
Dabi blew hot air into your ear, and you shivered, quickly rubbing at your ear. Dabi pulled back with a smirk before going back to stitching your wound. His words ran a mile a minute through your head, and you wished you could retort.Â
However, you knew he wouldnât hesitate to yank on the string again should you say something. So, you simply resorted to glaring at the man through the mirror. However, your act only made Dabi snicker and become smug, enjoying the fact that he had struck a nerve with you.
âAw, did I strike a nerve?â
âShut the fuck up.â
He laughed and tied the string, completing his work before patting your head mockingly.Â
âYou only wish you were important enough to me for me to listen to you. Donât worry, baby, youâll learn.â
Dabi laughed when you hissed at him, grabbing his coat before throwing a look over his shoulder.Â
âTry not to be useless again, yeah?â
His eyes flashed, and his laughter echoed through the hotel room as he left, making you slump into your seat and sigh.Â
Maybe you shouldnât have betrayed UA and left after all.Â
