Kidou groaned as he blew his nose into a tissue for what had to be the fifteenth time in the past forty minutes. He was already halfway through a brand new box of tissues, and his nose was starting to burn from the paper. This had to be at least the third time this month he had gotten a cold. Granted, this was the first time it actually escalated to something above a sniffle and a cough.
He had actually taken the day off from work, which was something usually unheard of. He trusted Sakuma to run the teams practice for the day, so it wasn't that big of an issue, but the fact that he called in sick in the first place was a shocking thing. Not only that, but he actually had to move to go sleep on the couch in the middle of the night, in fear of either getting Genda sick or waking him up with his coughing. He felt bad for being so sick when they were still in the middle of moving in, but there was nothing he could do about it.Â
Kidou set his phone aside when he was finished texting Sakuma the training menu he had planned for Teikoku that day. It was relatively early in the morning, but Shinsuke and Midori were already gone for school, and as far as he knew, Genda was still asleep. He cast his tissue aside and flipped on the morning news, only barely paying attention to what was actually playing.Â
