This tag was so fun to do! Iâm a sucker for reminiscing and loved finding parallels within my storyline I didnât even realise occurred (such as Kennedyâs reaction in both the pool picture and the proposal picture being eerily alike).Â
Seeing these photos side-by-side make me notice how similar the colours (particularly in outfits), the poses and the situations are while being so different from each other. Itâs strange but exciting to see how far not only my characters, but I as a writer & creator, have come!
Itâs really interesting to see how my editing style changed from vibrant and (letâs be honest here) flat, to muted but with perspective, field of depth and other additions~ I definitely think Iâve improved in editing, although some of the most recent photos donât show my best work! I have been constantly trying to improve my skills and myself since creating this blog :-)
Sorry about the awful formatting of the pictures, my old photos were sized in a very weird and unhelpful way so I did what I could with them.

âHm...Iâd say my family are middle class. My great-grandparents were immigrants but they and their descendants worked their asses off to get to where we are now. Weâre pretty well off now, my parents run their own restaurant back in New Jersey and my extended family all have good educations and jobs. Yeah, middle class sounds rightâ

âToo many. Kidding again. I have around ten close friends and many more acquaintances.â

âEh. I like apple pie.â

âI was a big fan of beer back in the day but now I prefer a whiskey or honestly a glass of red wine with a nice meal.â

âThe first time I visited France...someone I used to know brought me to this little patisserie and we bought eclairs and cream cakes and ate them in the picturesque public gardens next to it. It was such a lovely morning, the birds were chirping and the sun was beaming and hot and we sat in the grass, still damp from the morning dew and I-- *clears throat* s-sorry...uh yeah France.â

Who are the children more likely to learn their first swear word from? Oh boy, so neither of them swear that much (unless arguing) but Iâd say it would be Kennedy. (Realistically tho itâd be Grandma Vanessa)

âOh just brilliant. My husband is an asshole, my eldest son is being shipped off to the military in three weeks, my (almost) daughter in law has been sick for almost an entire month and Robert is just a little trouble maker. Not to mention the scene my sister made at the dinner table on Christmas Day, good lord Iâll never understand her. Iâm under a lot of pressure at the moment but things should improve for the few weeks John and Kennedy are away, itâll keep my husband and son from each otherâs throats and allow me to have another go at Derek.Â
Oh! and Sarah from down the street is being a right bitch at the moment, spreading false rumours that I feed my kids âmountains of sugarâ and that I told her that I thought Robert was the best player on the kidâs soccer team (which he is). Sheâs completely ruining my reputation! As if I didnât have enough on my plate at the moment.â
Iâm just worried (whatâs new). Everything is piling up and crumbling around me and I donât know what to do. Itâs all just happening too quickly. Weâre going away to see some of my extended family in France and when we get back we only have a week together before John gets shipped away. We have no idea how serving in the military actually works, only what Derekâs told us (and heâs not really a reliable source because he just glorifies everything), so we donât even know if heâll able to call me or if/when heâll get to come home. I guess all this worrying has made my symptoms worse as well which doesnât help. I donât need to go on a nine hour plane journey feeling like this.Â

memory: The last time she saw her mother, although now the memory is tainted with an overhanging sense of betrayal and anguish. Sheâll never forget her motherâs face, the tears that welled in her eyes, the small laugh she let out as she looked down at 5 year old Willowâs confused expression. When she closes her eyes she can feel her motherâs lips gently press against her forehead, just as they did that faithful day, and when she opens them she immediately rushes to wash her face, desperate to remove any trace or memory of the woman who ruined her life.
